Tell us a bit about you and your journey…
I am no means the most talented athlete or have been blessed with great genetics, I simply apply one principle in life and use that for all that I do. It is if you stick at something long enough you will eventually become the best at what you do. Crossfit for me is a lifestyle, I wake up everyday with a purpose and that purpose is to be the best I can on that day. I’m a husband and a father 2 amazing children. My wife is my training partner and best friend. Nothing has come easy in this journey and through the struggles of fitting in training, a wife and 2 kids, church commitments and also providing for my family has all been a challenge since the very start but i wouldn’t have it any other way. My journey has only just began with where I want to end up. 4 years in Crossfit now and still improving as i get older. Training is life and I’ll be training until I reach the end goal the Crossfit Games.
What is your proudest moment thus far?
My proudest moment is having 2 children and 2nd to that is stepping out on the Regionals floor in 2016 for the first time and knowing how hard and long it took to get there.
Tell us about your morning routine
My morning is the same most days. Wake up around 5:20am have a quick breakfast and then off to work to teach the 6:15am class at the gym. Once all classes are done at 10:30am i spend from then until 1:30pm training.
What’s your favourite PranaOn product?
Tribal Force – Choc Cherry Coconut.
What’s your favourite way to use it or incorporate it into your healthy lifestyle, and why?
Best protein to add to overnight oats i have ever used. By the morning the texture is like creamy mousse. Delicious.
Tell us something interesting about yourself or a hidden talent
I can’t move house unless the garage is big enough for my home gym.
Can’t have the shoes too tight once I start training.
Do you prefer training in the morning or evening?
Where can we find you on a Saturday?
Early hours of the morning I’ll be at the gym whilst my children are asleep. I do this every Saturday so I have time to spend doing what they want to.
What’s on the horizon for you?
This years main focus is the Dubai Fitness Champs in October and December if I make the final. After that is preparing to hit the Crossfit Open in February 2019.
Favourite motto to live by:
Time stops for no body so start now to create the person you want to be not the person others want you to be.
