Nutritionist, Dietitian and Sports Dietitian

Every day feels like I’m achieving something. By increasing my knowledge about topics I’m passionate about, meeting new people, getting to know my friends and family and bit more and learning more about myself and striving to progress as a person. Oh, and can’t forget getting my adorable little puppy – that’s a big achievement.

Tell us a bit about you and your journey…

I grew up in a small, country town in Queensland with my family. I had a love for sports, food and music. At the end of my high school years, I was working crazy hours (~60+/week) in hospitality), drinking on the weekends and not fueling my body with the right things (think takeaways and nutrient poor, energy-dense foods). When I made the link between what I was putting in to my body (food) and my mental health (anxiety, moody, irritable) that I began my love for researching how certain foods made me feel. This began my love for pursuing health as a career. From then, I was accepted into the University of Queensland to study an Undergraduate Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science. I continued my study to do my Masters in Dietetics (at the same University) and I have just completed my Sports Dietetics Qualifications.

What is your proudest moment thus far?

Being an introvert I am proud of the fact that I go out of my comfort zone every day. Putting my work and myself on social media for every one to see. I am proud of the little progressions I see myself making each day.

Tell us about your morning routine

Every morning I wake up with my little puppy. I have a quick snack, get my gym gear on and take my puppy for a walk to the dog park. We go via a local café and I get a coffee. I normally face-time my Mum, Dad or brother for a chat. When I get home I either head off to work or get stuck into working from home.

What’s your favourite PranaOn product?

I love the Coconut Milk Power Plant Protein.

What’s your favourite way to use it or incorporate it into your healthy lifestyle, and why?

I use it to make a yummy protein pudding with coconut yoghurt, seeds and a few sneaky dark chocolate chips. I love this as a mid morning snack when I’m wanting something more filling to get me through to lunch.

Tell us something interesting about yourself or a hidden talent

I have played the piano since I was young and was in the concert and stage bands all throughout school.

Any superstitions?

No Superstitions as of yet.

Do you prefer training in the morning or evening?

I prefer to train in the morning. If I don’t take the puppy for a walk I love to do an early gym session and coffee with the gym crew. I love getting my exercise done early in the day.

Where can we find you on a Saturday?

Saturday morning I am up early and usually at the gym. I again will have a coffee post gym-session with my friends and usually head back home to do some work or create a recipe.

What’s on the horizon for you?

My next goal is to create a few recipe e-books for my followers. I love to create easy, delicious and healthy recipes that I know people will enjoy. On the short-term horizon is to continue to learn more about my field of study, to continue to better myself in all areas of my life and to have fun doing so.

Favourite motto to live by:

Imperfectly perfect.
